YAM courses are delivered using the Mindfulness in Schools project, MISP. We also develop our own line of mindfulness courses. If you would like to know more about our exciting new developments, please message us via our contact page or by using the form below.
Due to society’s current economic difficulties the courses are being offered at the following subsidised rates.

10-week Intro to Mindful Self-Education

Suitable for ages 18-25 years | 12–15 students per group
Course cost of £195. For more details please email or call us.
  • The opportunity to participate in an open-minded dialogue to explore human consciousness.
  • Learn about our own conditioning and how it limits our potential.
  • Develop an attentive approach to daily living through self-awareness
  • This course is for anyone interested in experiencing insight into the part culture and society play in how they form our 'self-image' and identity.

Stand Against Bullying: A Culture of Kindness and Support

Bullying can have a devastating impact on students' physical and emotional health, as well as their academic success. That's why it's so important to create a school culture where all students feel safe and supported.

This
14-week course will teach students what bullying is, how to identify it, and what to do if they are being bullied. Students will also learn how to be upstanders and allies, and how to create a more inclusive and supportive school community.

Building Emotional Intelligence 14-Weeks

Emotional intelligence (EI) is the ability to understand and manage your own emotions, as well as the emotions of others. It is a critical skill for success in all areas of life, including school, relationships, and work. In this 14-week course, you will learn the basics of EI and develop the skills you need to become more emotionally intelligent. You will cover topics such as:
  • Self-awareness: Identifying and understanding your own emotions.
  • Self-management: Managing your emotions in a healthy way.
  • Social awareness: Understanding the emotions of others.
  • Relationship management: Building and maintaining positive relationships

Finding Your Calm in a Storm: Anger Management for Students

A 14-week course for students of all ages.
Anger is a normal human emotion, but it can be destructive if it's not managed in a healthy way. This 14-week course will teach students the skills they need to understand and manage their anger in a constructive way. What you'll learn:
  • What is anger and why do we feel it?
  • The different types of anger
  • The physical and emotional effects of anger
  • How to identify your anger triggers
  • Healthy coping mechanisms for dealing with anger
  • How to communicate your anger in a constructive way
  • How to resolve conflict peacefully

Building Bridges: Communication Skills for Teenagers to Speak to Authority

This 14-week course will teach teenagers the essential communication skills they need to speak confidently and effectively to authority figures. Students will learn how to:
  • Assert themselves in a respectful and professional manner.
  • Articulate their needs and concerns clearly and concisely.
  • Negotiate and compromise to find solutions that work for everyone.
  • De-escalate conflict and build positive relationships with adults.

Our MISP courses

Our certified MISP courses are designed to equip today’s young people with skills and techniques that will support their lifelong wellbeing. MISP has helped educators and young people flourish since 2009. MISP courses have benefited over 1.1 million children and young people.

14-week Paws b course

Suitable for ages 7-11 years | 10–15 students per group | 1 Hour weekly sessions
£12 per student
  • Paws b [pause be] is a leading mindfulness curriculum for children aged 7 -11 in schools.
  • The lessons are flexible and varied and can be taught as twelve 30 to 60 minute lessons.
  • Learning from all of the lessons is encouraged to be connected to other aspects of the school curriculum where and when appropriate, such as music, sport, art, drama, queuing to come into the classroom, school and residential trips, to name just a few possibilities.

6-week .breathe taster sessions

Suitable for ages 11-18 years | 10–15 students per group | 1 Hour weekly sessions
£12 per student
  • .breathe is a four-session programme aimed at the school ‘transition’ years of ages 9-14.
  • It can be taught as part of a broader Personal, Health, Social, and Economic Education (PSHE) curriculum or as part of a ‘transition-specific’ programme in Years 5-9.
  • .breathe offers an opportunity for both the teacher and students to ‘dip their toes in mindfulness’, exploring the ways in which this might support them through the highs and lows of adolescent life.

14-week .b Course

Suitable for ages 11-18 years | 10–15 students per group | 1 Hour weekly sessions
£12 per student
  • .b, pronounced [dot-be], is the UK’s leading mindfulness curriculum for 11-18 year olds in schools.
  • .b stands for ‘stop and be’, a simple practice at the heart of this ten lesson course.
  • Each .b lesson (between 40 minutes and 1 hour) is expertly crafted for use in the classroom to teach a distinct mindfulness skill.
  • The .b materials are designed to engage even the most sceptical of young minds.
